1980s Antony Price gold ruched floral jacquard couture gown

An absolutely stunning gold toned evening gown by the infamous British couturier Antony Price from the 1980s. The gown is made of a gold jacquard fabric of the finest quality. It is beautifully constructed. The fabric has a lustrous sheen, feels smooth and yet allows for detailed shaping, almost like a chocolate foil. The gown features a sweetheart neckline, incredible ruched sleeves and has a boned bodice. The skirt is masterfully draped and pleated on the side. There is a sideways slit to the front. The gown is fully lined in gold silk. It is fastened by hook and eye and concealed zip closure in the center back.

Antony Price was known for his work with performers like David Bowie, Duran Duran and most notably Roxy Music. Jerry Hall was his muse and an ardent wearer of his designs.

Marked as size 10. Best suited for a size medium.

Excellent condition with light signs of wear. Two inner hems of the lining on the sides have been opened to allow ease by the previous owner.
