A very rare cream colored liripipe hood by Chantal Thomass from the 1980s. The hood features matching cream toned buttons with with metal rivets, a ruffle collar and an exaggeratedly long tail. It is most likely a wool angora blend.

This piece takes inspiration from hoods, which were worn in the 14th century. The liripipe extension was primarily a fashion feature. They were worn by all classes, although the length of the liripipe suggests a certain level of prosperity of the wearer.
